For comfortable sports, you need comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement, and it must also be made of a certain material that will allow the skin to breathe and provide good heat transfer. So what is the best fabric for tracksuits? Let's find out.

Varieties

Today there is a very large selection of materials for tailoring sportswear. They come in both natural and artificial ingredients, but mostly use mixtures of fibers.

Types of materials for tracksuits:

- cotton, natural fabric. It perfectly absorbs water and sweat, allows the skin to breathe, does not cause allergic reactions, but does not stretch well. Therefore, 100% is not very suitable for use in sports items. But it can be combined with other species;

- polyester, synthetic material. Such a fabric passes air well, does not wrinkle, dries quickly, retains colors for a long time even with frequent washing, and is durable;

- elastane, synthetic fiber. It has the ability to stretch very well, and then return to its original shape. The higher the content of elastane in the fabric, the better it stretches. Such material is more often used for the manufacture of swimwear, since elastane perfectly withstands sweat, water, even sea salt, the sun does not harm it either. On the label, elastane can be designated as lycra or dorlastan;

- saplex, also an artificial component for the manufacture of the material, has similar properties of elastane, but is also soft like cotton to the touch;

- taslan, polyamide fabric. Thanks to its weaving and porous coating, it perfectly protects things from external pollution, and has water-repellent properties. Strong and durable, retains colors in the sun, well breathable, allowing the skin to breathe;

- dazel - knitwear, which was invented for sewing sportswear. Very strong, elastic and wear-resistant fabric. Does not wrinkle, passes air well, does not fade in the sun.

Which is better

Fabric for sportswear must meet a number of requirements:

- good heat-exchange and breathable properties;

- the ability to stretch and restore shape;

- hygiene;

- wear resistance;

- ease, unpretentiousness.

Today, diving is a very popular material for sports - a fabric that is used for tailoring sports suits, pants, dresses.

At the same time, such fabric can be of two types - light microdiving and denser fabric, which has a good tightening effect.

A great combination is cotton and polyester. Such things allow the body to breathe due to the content of cotton, and polyester fibers do not allow the suit to wrinkle, maintain its durability and brightness of colors.

When choosing a tracksuit, you can pay attention to fabrics that are pleasant to the touch, for example, velor. This is a cotton fabric with villi, which is very delicate to the touch, reminiscent of velvet. Natural fabric perfectly conducts heat transfer. Both adults and children's tracksuits are sewn from velor.

How to choose

When buying a tracksuit, you need to pay attention not only to how it sits on you, but also to carefully look at the composition of the fibers of the fabric. Modern manufacturers combine several types of fibers and indicate the composition with percentages. There may be materials cotton, polyester, polyamide, lycra, microfiber, elastane.

You also need to decide for what conditions clothes are bought. If for training in the gym, then you need a suit with very good heat transfer properties, but water-repellent and windproof fabric is useful when practicing outdoors.

Pay attention to the feeling when touching the material, the fabric should be pleasant to the touch, not cause discomfort. There should be no sparks and electric shocks, a suit made of a material that accumulates static electricity should not be taken. The fabric should be tested for stretch and recovery.

Take a good look at how the seams are stitched, whether they can withstand the load. It is better to have mesh inserts in the suit, which will help the sweat to evaporate. When putting on a suit, nothing should hinder your movements, you should be easy and comfortable in it.
