Pantaloons and leggings: an overview of models

A bit of history
Just two centuries ago, women could not even think of the existence of such underwear as pantaloons. However, the ladies did not mean about other models of underpants. A long shirt worn under a dress was the only means of covering the intimate parts of the body, as well as hygiene.

From the 1800s, the history of pantaloons began, moving from men's to women's wardrobes and remaining there to this day. The first pantaloons were flesh-colored and had a length just below the knees, and some completely covered the legs to the ankles. Later, they began to decorate them with ruffles and cute bows, forever turning them into exclusively women's underwear.

The first women's pantaloons could afford only aristocratic people. However, later Queen Victoria dressed all women in them, excluding the poorest segments of the population. You should not think that the pantaloons were as comfortable as they are now, because there was a lock between the legs, which brought inconvenience to the lives of women.

The famous Coco Chanel forever changed the history of pantaloons, creating a design familiar to modern man. Rumors about the convenience and comfort when wearing them spread with great speed, and soon in the wardrobe of every fashionista one could find not a single pair of pantaloons.

Later, leggings appeared in the everyday life of women, which were tight-fitting trousers made of cotton or wool. Their distinctive feature was a loop designed for the heel. These clothes were indispensable for horseback riding.

What are pantaloons
The appearance of pantaloons is known to almost everyone. Indeed, no new name was invented for this linen, and the form undergoes only minor changes over time.

Peculiarities
- The main feature of women's pantaloons is their shape in the form of long shorts.
- Pantaloons are made from natural fabrics, as well as from elastic materials with a slimming effect.
- The length of modern pantaloons varies. The edge of the trousers may not reach the level of the knees for two palms, or it may end under the knee, providing perfect harmony to the legs. In addition, decorative elastic bands and ruffles may be present on the legs, adding playfulness to the overall look.

styles
The styles of pantaloons are quite diverse. Conventionally, they can be divided into several groups according to their purpose:
- for everyday wear;
- for body shaping;
- as home clothes;
- erotic lingerie.

Models for daily wear are popular for the most part among women of respectable age. They are made from cotton, viscose and bamboo and are very comfortable to wear.

Pantaloons steadily occupy a niche in the field shapewear. Such models consist of inserts with different levels of tightening and allow you to hide many figure flaws.
A hit of corrective underwear are knickers, starting under the bust and ending just below the knees. Thanks to this cut, all the imperfections of the body are reliably disguised.

As home clothes pantaloons can be made of cotton or knitwear. The main motto in such underwear is convenience.

Erotic lingerie in the form of pantaloons is gradually gaining popularity. Silk models with lace and satin bows look no less impressive and coquettish than the most revealing lingerie.
