What it is

As you know, one of the most attractive areas on the female body for others is the décolleté area, which most often attracts the attention of men. That is why it is important to be able to correctly and most advantageously emphasize this place so that it looks as beautiful as possible. To do this, you should correctly choose a bra, and not only in the shape of the cups, the volume created by the push-up, but also in the form of the bra itself.

Indeed, as you know, different models of this item of women's underwear look differently under clothes, depending on the shape and depth of the neckline itself.

For a deep and wide neckline, a bra called a "balconette" is ideal. This piece of clothing has a very beautiful appearance and the shape of cups in the form of balconies, hence the name.

The history of this bra begins in the distant and ancient city of Pompeii. When analyzing wall paintings, it was found that many women are wearing tops that vaguely resemble this model of underwear. It is also known that Greeks, Romans and residents of the island of Crete tied up special bandages, ribbons and leather strophies, which significantly lifted the chest and made it visually more voluminous and attractive. It was then that the first prototype of the balconette bra was born.

.

There are quite a few versions as to where exactly the first official bodice of this style was invented. The most common are three of them. According to the first assumption, this bra was invented in Italy in 1956 by one of the Venetian tailors, who was a famous womanizer and connoisseur of female beauty.

This version is not confirmed by any evidence, so we can only guess: is it true or fiction.

The second version has more compelling reasons to be true. According to historians, this type of lingerie originated in France and was created by Hermine Cadol at the end of the nineteenth century.

The resourceful girl simply cut off the corset, shortening it as much as possible, and sewed straps to it. Thus, the so-called corset cups appeared, which gained immense popularity among female representatives who love to emphasize their charms and give them an attractive and appetizing look. By the way, the brand of this girl still exists and thrives, delighting her fans with new models of underwear and accessories.

According to the third version, the balconette bra was invented in Germany, again, at the end of the nineteenth century. Only it was released in the form of a sweatshirt with cups and straps.

Of course, each of the above versions could well exist in reality, but the official and most famous woman who invented the first sketches of the balconette bra in 1914 is the American Mary Jacobs. Being an aristocrat, she attended a huge number of evenings and large events, for which it was required to look at the level and have appropriate outfits.

One evening, the girl wanted to wear a beautiful dress with an open back, under which the corset looked completely out of place. Having shown her ingenuity, Mary, with the help of only two scarves and elastic bandages, was able to create an excellent model of a bra that perfectly tightened her chest and, at the same time, had no back.

Soon the girl patented her invention and later sold it for a tidy sum to one of the companies producing women's underwear.

In 1922, a Russian emigrant who moved to the United States decided to create a new bra model that would emphasize the volume of her breasts as much as possible. To do this, she cut one cup in half and connected them together at the ends. Later, the girl decided to develop her activities and created her own lingerie brand, which successfully exists in our time, controlling almost forty percent of the American lingerie market.

Soon the bra began to be worn by all women without exception. In the sixties of the twentieth century, the balconette bra was invented, which appealed to many women and girls. Unfortunately, just a couple of years later, there was a fashion for very thin girls in the style of the famous Twiggy, who was popular for her anorexic figure. More than twenty years passed before beautiful and feminine figures returned to fashion.

In the eighties, this finally happened and the balconette bra again took its rightful place in the underwear department, which it still holds. After all, it is to him that many modern women of fashion owe a beautiful décolleté and an attractive look of the chest.

Now many brands, as well as attracted eminent designers, are engaged in the design of this type of underwear. The most popular lingerie brand - Victoria's Secret - has made a whole cult of this piece of clothing. Whatever the balconette bra is decorated with, and some are completely studded with real diamonds. The price of such models is appropriate.

Features and Benefits

What exactly won the balconette bra the love of many girls and women is not difficult to find out. After all, the structure of this bodice is specially designed in such a way as to maximize the beauty of the chest and show it from a winning angle. The chest is raised due to a special frame with bones, which supports it and forms a very beautiful, toned shape.

Many models have a significant push-up, which gives even more volume and beauty to the breasts. The upper part of the cup is very low, which gives the bust an appetizing and attractive look. Thus, even with a very deep and wide neckline, the bra will not be visible, and wide-spaced straps, which tighten and lift the chest even more, only increase the possible width of the neckline. This is a very big advantage of this bodice. After all, protruding cups and straps from under clothes are the height of bad taste, and not every girl can afford to wear a bra without supporting straps due to the peculiarities of her figure.

These models of bras are available in various options. There are models with a silicone back and straps, which are ideal for dresses open both in front and in the back. There are models with removable straps or without them at all.The latter are very convenient for girls with small breasts, as you can freely wear a bra without uncomfortable straps, which often have to be corrected or spoil the look of dresses and tops with thin straps.

Such bodices, as a rule, are equipped with a thin silicone strip sewn from the inside along the bottom edging, they prevent the bra from sliding down. This is a very convenient and common option, which is loved by many girls. Thanks to him, you can absolutely not worry about the fact that at any moment the bra can slip.

There are also seamless balconies that do not hinder the movement of their owner and provide her with maximum comfort, since nothing crashes into the body.

Among other advantages, this model of a bra is incredibly convenient and comfortable in a sock. The wide-set push-up cups perfectly support the bust, giving it volume without constricting it.

colors

The color scheme of the balconette bra is as wide as that of other underwear models. Of course, the most common and best-selling colors are the classic ones: black, white and beige. And it is the latter that breaks all sales records. Many girls, wearing a dress with a deep and wide neckline, prefer to play it safe and put on a flesh-colored bodice that blends with skin color and will not be visible even if it comes out a little from under the dress.

But many brands offer a huge number of multi-colored bras of this style. Bright and pastel colors are presented in very advantageous angles. Red, blue, green, turquoise, pink, blue, purple and yellow, they have many options, but all of them have one style and look of cups that are very comfortable.

There are balconette bras with animal prints, such as leopard or tiger stripes. There are models with polka dots, sea stripes and with a variety of other patterns and shapes. The choice depends on the taste preferences of the customer and, of course, her share of a sense of humor.

materials

The materials used in this bra model are also varied. There are balconies made of silk, satin, textile, cotton or lace. Some brands offer their customers bras made of satin material, fully embroidered with lace, tulle or with other decorative elements such as beads, ribbon bows and others. Some bras are also decorated with rhinestones, such beauty looks very unusual, especially under plain transparent tops made of chiffon or tulle.

Who suits

This bra model is perfect for girls with any breast size. A balconette will lift a small bust, give the desired volume and a beautiful appearance, as well as such a bodice, especially with a push-up, will visually enlarge the chest itself. Girls with a large bust can also become happy owners of such a bra. The balcony will ideally emphasize such dignity and give it an appetizing look. It will perfectly support and tighten large breasts and provide the girl with comfort.

What to wear

The balconette bra is very comfortable to wear and can be worn all the time, but there are also scraped clothing models under which it is recommended to wear this particular bra model. First of all, these are dresses and tops with bare shoulders or wide square necklines. Smooth bodices are perfect for thin T-shirts or tight tops, as well as bandeau dresses.

This bra will fit perfectly and remain completely invisible to others. At the same time, the breast itself will look luxurious and no one will know its secret.

In no case is it recommended to wear such a bra under clothes with a round or v-neck, as it will come out ugly and be seen.

How to choose

This bra model should be chosen very wisely, as it has its own characteristics that must be taken into account when choosing. In no case should you buy such a model of a bra smaller than your own. He already lifts the chest quite strongly, squeezing it from below, and a smaller size can adversely affect the shape of the bust and cause harm. The bones should fit freely to the body and not injure it, and they should also be flexible and of high quality. When buying, you should pay attention to the quality and type of straps: there are sewn and removable. Some brands offer extra silicone straps for bras with detachable straps. If you want to visually enlarge your chest, you should choose a model with a push-up that will give your bust extra volume.

When buying this bra, you should definitely focus on the type of clothing under which it is supposed to wear this underwear.

Under thin and tight wardrobe items, you should choose bras with a smooth surface, which will not show through and stick out lace, beads and other decorative elements. You should also take into account the color of the clothes in order to insure yourself in case the bodice does come out from under the dress or top.
