Of course, each of the above versions could well exist in reality, but the official and most famous woman who invented the first sketches of the balconette bra in 1914 is the American Mary Jacobs. Being an aristocrat, she attended a huge number of evenings and large events, for which it was required to look at the level and have appropriate outfits.

Soon the girl patented her invention and later sold it for a tidy sum to one of the companies producing women's underwear.

In 1922, a Russian emigrant who moved to the United States decided to create a new bra model that would emphasize the volume of her breasts as much as possible. To do this, she cut one cup in half and connected them together at the ends.
